We envision a future where people do not feel excluded by technology or intimidated by the pace at which it evolves. Instead, they have the knowledge and confidence to understand the digital world around them, make informed decisions, and use technology to solve problems and bring their own ideas to life.
We want to help create a generation of people who are not only capable of using technology, but curious enough to question it, confident enough to experiment with it, and empowered enough to create with it.
Technology should not be a barrier to participation. It should be a tool for possibility.
From Understanding to Creating
Get To Know IT is an educational initiative that makes technology accessible through practical, hands-on learning. It is built around a simple idea: technology should not be something people merely use or hear about — they should have the opportunity to understand it, experiment with it, and create with it themselves.
Get To Know IT offers two complementary ways to learn: workshops and modular coding education.
Workshops
The workshops introduce participants to different areas of technology and IT in an approachable and practical way. Rather than focusing only on theory, participants get to explore concepts through examples, exercises, and real-world applications.
The goal is not to turn everyone into an IT professional. It is to build confidence and curiosity — giving participants a better understanding of the technology that surrounds them and showing them what is possible when they start exploring it themselves.
Modular Coding Education
For those who want to go a step further, Get To Know IT offers modular coding courses designed around learning by doing. Participants gradually develop their programming skills while working on projects that turn abstract concepts into something tangible.
Starting with the fundamentals, the modules can progress from writing simple programs to developing more structured applications and working with tools such as Git and GitHub. Each module builds on the previous one while remaining focused on a practical project.
This approach allows participants to see a direct connection between what they learn and what they can create with it.
From understanding to creating
