The internet is much bigger than what we can find through Google, Bing, or other search engines. But what actually exists “beneath” the visible part of the internet? And what is the difference between the Light Web, Deep Web, and Dark Web?
In this workshop, participants learn how the internet and its different areas work. They discover why much of the content on the internet cannot be found through traditional search engines, what the Deep Web actually includes, and what makes the Dark Web different.
The workshop also explores topics such as anonymity, privacy, and the technologies that make different forms of online access possible. At the same time, participants examine the opportunities and risks associated with these areas and critically question common myths surrounding the Dark Web.
The goal is to provide a realistic understanding of what terms such as “Deep Web” and “Dark Web” actually mean and how these areas relate to topics such as cybercrime, anonymity, and data privacy.
