To Understand Technology: AI

Artificial intelligence has already become part of our everyday lives — from voice assistants and translation tools to chatbots, image generators, and intelligent recommendation systems. But what is actually happening behind these technologies? And what can AI really do?

In this workshop, participants explore the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and learn about the differences between AI, machine learning, and traditional computer programs. They are introduced to the history and development of modern AI and learn, in an accessible way, how technologies such as language models and image generators work at a fundamental level.

The workshop also explores why AI is developing so rapidly and where modern AI is already being used. Participants examine both the opportunities and risks of the technology, including topics such as privacy, ethics, and the limitations of current AI systems.

The workshop is not only about understanding AI, but also about learning to question it critically and use it responsibly and effectively — for example, when learning, researching information, or completing everyday tasks. Finally, participants look at the potential future of AI and consider how continued developments could affect society.
